We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student to join our project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). The project focuses on the genetic engineering of microalgae for the heterologous production of valuable biomolecules.

🔍 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑭𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔: Microalgal genetic engineering

📍 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Bezmialem Vakıf University, Beykoz Institute of Life Sciences and Biotechnology

🎓 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:

▪️Master’s degree (preferably) in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

▪️Experience in laboratory work related to molecular biology, including cloning, SDS-PAGE, and Western blotting.

▪️Strong interest in working with microalgae.

▪️Proficiency in English.

▪️Willingness to learn new techniques and skills; the ability to independently perform experiments after a training period.
